Logan Anderson _rass_anded_enman — A Prayer for Owen Meany is my absolute favorite book of all time. This novel tells the story of a friendship between Johnny Wheelright, a boy without a father, and Owen Meany, a little person with an unusual voice. Owen believes that his life has a purpose, and that he has been called by God. Johnny and Owen grow up together, sharing adventures and learning life lessons along the way. This novel is entertaining and uplifting, and the characters are charming, though realistically imperfect. While reading this book, I guarantee that you will laugh out loud at some points and that your eyes will fill with tears at others. John Irving's use of symbolism is excellent, and the novel has many different levels of meaning. I highly recommend A Prayer for Owen Meany to everyone who likes to read. It's over 500 pages long, but you'll be sad when it's over. PS I have a copy, so ask if you'd like to borrow it!

Daniela Spina cantimplora — Hard read, but i believe it all true. Puts the ownership for a happy marriage on the wives. I like that it's what I can do to keep my husband happy and reap benefits from being the wife he needs & wants. I agree with much of the advice and tips... Tho some of it can be hard to swallow.

Steffen Givard _teffen_ivard — The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay takes place primarily in New York City during the lead up to WWII, and then through into the 1950s. It's about two cousins who need the other to fulfill what they see as their goals, and self-denial of what they really desire. Oh yeah, they make comics. This book took me forever to read. Everyone said it was great, even people in the subway. It was very good, but there were whole sections of the book that I read with such great trepidation, wondering what sort of disaster Michael Chabon was leading me to. Luckily there was everyone telling me that it was a great book. But it's just not subway fare, I would've liked to spend more solid blocks of time reading it than I did, rather than four or five pages at a time. Then I could have gotten through those tough sections quicker.
