Jan Erik _iking1055d2b5 — A nice continuation from "A Wrinkle in Time" (which is still one of my favorites). I love the imagination and depth of these stories, and how strong and independent the children have to be. I'm not going to *make* my kids read these books, but I strongly hope they do!

Eugene Pavlov _ugene_avlov — Great book, anyone who appreciates a non-trashy romance will like this book. Alexander Smith is a corporate pirate until one day he realises he's not happy. So he quits and moves to Scotland with his sister and her 13th century Laird of a husband at MacLeod Keep. While looking for a book in his brother-in-law's study and he finds a map... one that leads him searching for a time gate to Barbados. Somehow he ends up in Medieval England, 1194, in the middle of a land feud between the horrible Sir Ralf of Brackwald and the lovely Lady Margaret of Falconberg. Can he save Margaret's lands and still keep his heart?

Extra Credit _ — I have read passages of this for classes in psych etc... but I want to read the whole book.

Cristiane Marino cristianem9c54 — Whoa...Wow...I mean this book was really...something. 8 girls - 4 the ugliest and the other 4 the prettiest. All this determined by a list. One single list. And all this made up one hell of a story too! Siobhan Vivian's 'Not That Kind Of Girl' failed to really impress me, but on the other hand 'The List' had me just sitting there after I finished reading the rather an abrupt ending of the book with an 'umm...okay...whoa' look on my face for a few moments and then scrambling to gather my bearings. My feelings for this book is all a jumbled mess right now, but I am sure of one thing - this book is going to stay with me for a long time. So...like I said before, this book really is something, along with being a must-read that any devoted reading wouldn't ever want to miss.

Raúl Medialdea _elifares — If I had to choose one word to describe this book, it would simply be WOW. Nonfiction that reads like the best of fiction, Unbroken details the life of Louie Zamperini, a wild kid turned Olympic athlete turned WW II Bombadier turned crash survivor stranded on a raft in the Pacific. And there's more, but I don't want too many spoilers in this review. As the title states, it's a story of survival, resilience, and redemption. I'd like to add well-written, page-turning, fascinating, tear-jerking, inspiring, amazing. This story is a testament to the strength of the human spirit. It motivates me to get up off the couch and work hard to make my many dreams come true, to overcome my many obstacles and weaknesses. To test my upper limits. Unbroken, as far as I'm concerned, is a buy-it-now-even-though-it's-still-in-hardback-because-it's-worth-having-on-your-bookshelf-for-years-to-come must read.
