Murat Tekmen murattekmen — This first book in an intended series sets the scene well. The action begins quickly, without too much tedious exposition. The world is extremely well woven with the ancient Greek gods blending perfectly into an otherwise Urban Fantasy setting. I wasn’t sure how well this idea would play out at first, but by the time I was a few chapters in I was convinced and deeply engrossed in the story. The pacing is excellently balanced, the sense of anticipation maintained even in the lulls between the action scenes. The characters are well realised: Kyana is a feisty and compelling heroine while Ryker manages to avoid becoming a dull stereotype. The plot idea came across as fresh and original and maintained my interest throughout. The prose was easy going and full of good descriptive passages. This was a page-turner from start to finish and I was very unhappy when I reached the last page and realised I would have to wait for the next instalment to continue the story. This will definitely be a series I will follow and I recommend the book to any Urban Fantasy fans.

Elisa Elorza eelorzaef9d — This book was really interesting. I would say its more about how you arrange things in your home and office rather than exactly what you have that tells you about the other person. I really liked all the psychology information, but others might find it long. Sometimes I felt he did drag it out a little bit, but overall I thought it was really unique and I enjoyed reading it.

Andrea Casturà andreacastura — It took me forever to read this book, and ultimately, I didn't even finish it - a sign of sure boredom and irritation with the book. I simply didn't have the will to carry further. He writes with a dry British "wit" that fails to amuse and is quite tedious to slug through. He's writing for an audience that already knows the subject; to a novice like myself - knowing nothing of who's who, much less the intricacies of European and Latin American soccer in the 80s and 90s - this book was really tough to decipher. An interesting premise, but I presume he only thought of it so he can get paid to travel the world and watch soccer games. Which is not a bad idea, so well played Mr. Kuper.
