E M _gent_ — I liked this one. Which isn't far-fetched, because I enjoy Rachel Gibson's books. She has a voice that I find refreshingly authentic when it comes to the romantic contemporary, which sometimes can be written with a heavy hand. The "ah, I see what they're doing there" with the obvious puns, easily drawn heroes, and repetitive herewegosexytimes that just aren't sexy. Sam LeClaire is a total asshole of a hockey player. He's a smokin' hot, fearsome athlete, yes, but he is not romanticized. He likes to sex up the ladies when he can, but hockey comes first, and with that sort of outlook you can't help but suck at the relationship thing. So there he is at the wedding of Faith and Ty from True Love and Other Disasters and who is that super cute redhead? Oh, that's the wedding planner. And why is Ty not trying to hit on her? Ah ha, she's his ex. Wife. The super stud was married?! How did no one know? And what is this? They had a KID together? I liked that this wasn't one of those she got knocked up and never told him and holy crap you have an eight year-old now stories. Sam knows he has a son and has been a part of his life, even if he hasn't really been in Autumn's, seeing as how that crazy weekend in Vegas didn't a lasting marriage make. So the story felt different, and yet familiar. Sam is the consummate famous athlete, but then something starts to happen. The big man falls, and it's a pleasure to watch. Autumn is actually the big guns who is totally over Sam. She's no shrinking violet waiting around, but Super Stud Sam is the one who crumbles, and then it's up to Autumn to pick up the pieces. But watching these two raise their son, who wasn't that over played secret baby but was instead the child of divorced parents juggling everything parents juggle? Nice. Liked it. And please, please tell me there will be a story for her brother. Want. So bad.

Colin West poste049 — I liked this, but it didn't excite me with its ideas or language. I definately enjoyed other of Vonnegut's works more than this.

Bruno Ribeiro brunoaraujaa74 — I've had several people tell me they couldn't finish this book because it was too depressing. In fact, I think it contains some of the funniest passages I've ever read. The ability of the author to find humor in his tragic childhood was, for me, life-affirming.

Paper Ou paperou — After reading this book I was hungry and I wanted to have sex. And then have dessert. I'm a huge Louisa Edwards fan and this book gave me exactly what I wanted: good plot, fun sex and accurate cooking details. I'm still thinking about the duck and plums dish. I could really go for some of that!
