Salma Shoushene _houshene_abf1 — I forgot that I preorder this book and it came as a pleasant surprise when I got it in the mail when I got home from school one day. As it is the second book in the series, you have to read the first to understand this one. Once I started, I barely could put it down and by the end, I was in desperate need of the next one (that was coming out in year at the time). The story got more intense and interesting. The relationship between characters develop more and it just sucked you in. What the characters have to go through while on the run is realistic with a touch of supernatural. I fell in love with this series by the end of the book and couldn’t wait for the next one to come out, because just like the last book, it ended in a cliffhanger. No serious romance had develop at the end, but you could see the hint of one. Unlike most YA books, romance is the subplot in the series, which is what I like best. I highly recommend this book, but read the first book first! Oh, it’s also worth your money to buy them in hardback, at least for me it was.
