Robbie Shoker robbieshokerx — Re-read this for my TA class -- it's been about five years since I first read it. Such an accessible and wonderful little book. I don't know why this isn't taught at the high school level more often.

Hasan S hsnhasan — I really enjoyed this book, once I finally tracked it down. I heard about it over dinner with friends one evening. Somehow, between the restaurant and the bookstore a couple of days later, the title changed from Me Talk Pretty One Day to Me Speak Really Good Soon. Needless to say the clerk at the bookstore hadn't ever heard of it. I eventually found it, though, and loved every bit of it.

Victoria Borbola borbola — 3/5; 3 stars; B I liked this story, not as much as 1 and 3 but it was still good. The fact that I read 3 and 4 before this one may have contributed to my lower score. The maluncoeur curse that Shade was suffering under was something I was wondering about and I found it really irritating that he never talked about it with Runa. So many things could have been cleared up by a little more openness there. And speaking of Runa, her whiny 'victim' role for the first third of the book really put me off but then the character seemed to gel and it was better for the rest of the book.
