Sara Maria ztsche1892 — When Jaycee Dugard was 11 years old she was kidnapped while walking to a school bus stop. Here is the book written in her own words describing the 18 years spent with her abductors and of her recovery and therapy after being "found". It's hard to review a book like this because even Jaycee herself admits her memories and writing about those memories are jumbled. There is a lot of jumping around in the timeline, and it can get a little confusing at times. I applaud Jaycee Dugard's courage and effort putting this book together, but I think with the help of another writer and more explanation to the readers from the doctors that Jaycee is receiving treatment from, the depth of this story really could have been better told. This is an incredible story and it just amazes me what this poor girl went through, but I would love to read a little bit better explanations of why her abductors and Jaycee did what they did and how they were able to live the way they did for 18 years. It's still a very interesting read and I am glad things are working out for Jaycee Dugard and her family.
