abao
Abao Ji abao — This books brings the Story of Islam's Prophet Muhammad to life. Finally, a great story and a great writing.

_
Triada Studio _ — I liked this book a lot more than the last one. The mysteries are more realistic-sounding in these books, which I like. They kind of wrap around all of Kate Holly's problems and I like that about Hughes's writing style. I'm excited for the next one coming out. I like how these books leave me satisfied, but still wanting more.

weareyawn
Weareyawn Weareyawn weareyawn — I do not think this was a great introduction to Delany. Reputedly one of the greats of the genre and I've only now gotten around to trying one of his works. This is one of those far future/post apocalyptic SF stories where knowledge and understanding has declined leaving the populace in a faux medieval condition. Relics of their technological past linger but are indistinguishable from magical artefacts as far as most of the populace are concerned. There was also quite an emphasis on the philosophical musings of the main characters that is, I guess, indicative of the time in which this novel emerged (late 60's) but for me this came across as largely superfluous to the story, nor did it particularly help develop the characters, or even interest me in its own right. But when you take that out, there's not much left underneath. Just a meandering, baffling adventure story with thin characters traversing and admittedly striking landscape. I won't let this put me off reading more Delany but I will definitely wait until I find one of his more highly recommended novels.

katedanova
Ekaterina Danova katedanova — I love this story. Though it needs to be read at the very least two times lol. I recommend that. LOL, so does Sir Lloyd Andrew Webber HAhaha :P Anyways, this story is so full of passion for many things. Passion for love, passion for music, for dance, passion for the theatre, for opera, a passion to be accepted, to be noticed, passion TO BE loved, a passion for possessiveness, and I'm sure even more. So many passions from so many people or lol in a special case just one person. It's a bit dark, sensual, mysterious. The characters are enjoyable, and you fall in love with them all, well I did anyways ;) One of my all time favourite books. I received it in my last year of primary school, as a speech day school prize. I never picked it up to read until hm, I'm not sure four or five years later? I attempted mind you, before that, but lol, between 10-14, I was not interested in it, and the writing style bored me. It's only when I tried later, I read through different writing style, the version I read I guess used the style that Gaston wrote in. Which is probably why you might need to read it again to fully grasp it. Also understand, this and the musical are different. Same storyline, but a lot of it in the musical is still different. The musical rocks too though :D. :D

rabiahaytae323
Rabia Hayta rabiahaytae323 — I read this for school and usually when a book is assigned to me I have a bad habit of automatically hating it. I hate being forced to read something. I read 1984, Farenheit 451 on my own and loved them, but I am sure if they were assigned to me then I would have not wanted to read them at all.I actually loved this book though. It kinda reminded me of 1984,but with a twist. Really interesting and some of his predictions of today were actually right on or at least pretty close. I enjoyed it alot.
