Quleep Software quleep_softwares — I liked the way Garcia Marquez tells stories. I think he is a very good story teller. My "problem" was with the object of his stories... I did not like what the book was about, the direction in which he detailed and constructed his characters.

Niclas Gerull niclasgerull — Great book, definitely drew me in and asked for me. I was a tad confused at the start, but I greatly enjoyed.

Simone Economo e_oe5 — This book is an example of one that was built up too much by friends, so that I felt disappointed in it. I wanted more. And the ending was soo frustrating. I turned the last page and just said "WHAT? You've GOT to be kidding me." (And maybe that's a downfall with reading it on an i-pad. I really didn't know that was going to be the end. At least with a hard copy I would have realized it sooner.) With that said, I'm looking forward to discussing it because I do have lots of questions and comments. For starters, Marina's naivete about her relationship with Mr. Fox. Drove me crazy! I do like Ann Patchett's writing and Bel Canto is still one of my favorites, I just felt that I could have skipped large portions of the book and not missed much.

Carolina Totaro _arit0h — Tom Robbins uses words like Picasso used paint. Masterful, quirky- a true work of art.

Andy Zanoni andreazanoni — Finished it in a day. Definitely a page-turner. I wish the resolution and the revelations were of more impact, and the characters of more depth (I'd love to know more about all of them). Also, I thought the romance was a little bit underdeveloped. The ending could have been a lot better, too. An adult fairy tale is still fairy tale after all. Nevertheless, Stardust was a magical read :)
