David Hynes dyouden — I'm diggin the way she tells it like it is

Ellie Shin elizabethjshin — Anyone that knows enough about life to recognize their own eternal struggle between sticking to their own beliefs and selling out, no matter what you do for a living, will enjoy this book. It is a classic dilema, and Wenzel's treatment of it in this particular setting (the life of a writer, specifically fiction novels) is very good. His biting wit really makes the book. I do not think this book would have been nearly as meaningful if I had read it as a teenager or in my early 20's. I think 25+ years in the working world has given me a lot of life experience that allowed me to connect to the book.

Julian Gomez jhuliangomez — Finished the series. An adventure of good against evil. The dark side was very believable and the strengths/gifts that the heroes and heroines were given to match up against it as well. I liked that the heroes had to do intense investigation and research to understand and battle their opponent.

Charlotte Wang _harlotte_ogu — Great art, some good humor and genre spoofing. Not much more than that. For comic book nerds only.

Stefano Re nenoo — Various Positions does an amazing job at creating a young girls perspective on life as she endures many obstacles which are average for a young girl to face; parental disputes, upset and divorce; changing of schools; peer pressure; discovering oneself; pressure placed from educators to excel. This book struck me on a personal level as I spent many years dancing, and I also attended an arts school where the pressures mounted to be the best, to excel, to work your ass off for your art. Additionally, the peer pressure & creation of a school-yard caste system has affected me and my choices as I dealt with family upset as well. The writing was poignant and I really enjoyed reading this book. I would definitely recommend this book to others. I hope that this is not the last I see of Schabas' writing
