So begins the story of Dolores Price. Dolores Price - starts out this innocent 4 year old kid and you read through her 40th year. She is a suprisingly easy girl/woman to relate to given that she is written by a man- throughout the book I would forget and then see his picture inside the jacket and be suprised all over again. This is such a good coming of age, regressing back and then seeing the woman you are book... if that makes any sense.

Nadine Wachtendorf nadinewach7f4c — Not as good as her first book, My Horizontal Life, but I gave it the same 4-star rating. Handler is SO inappropriate you wonder how much of these stories are actually true. But they are hilarious, and that is all that matters. Another trashy winner just in time for summer.

Albert Foo _lbert_oo — This is a beautiful and moving story about family, friendship, and the many meanings of loyalty. I was swept up equally by Quinn's harrowing story and Jackson's lyrical prose. The characters are so real and flawed they will steal into your heart, and the storytelling races along with restrained emotion and simmering tension. The book also tackles important themes that would make it perfect for libraries or school curricula, but Jackson never veers into preachy territory, letting the characters' stories unfold with grace and heart. While focusing on young adults, this book will resonate with readers of all ages. Highly recommended.
