Santana is his name. The boy Daelyn is afraid to let in. The boy who doesn’t know it, but he just might save Daelyn’s life. Before You Read This I’ll Be Dead is an amazing book that really enlightens you. Julie Ann Peters did and awesome job of writing this book and making me, the reader feel connected emotionally. I couldn’t help how much I wanted to keep reading this book. The theme really taught me a lot, such as it’s never too late to let someone in and to be grateful for the life you have. Daelyn couldn’t help what was wrong with her, but she continued to get bullied until she was at the end of her rope. I mean, why does it have to come to somebody killing themselves for other people to see what they did was wrong? Millions of children, teens, and adults commit suicide everyday because of bullying. I highly recommend this book to all ages of people who need to see that bullying does have an affect on a person and like to read realistic fiction. This story isn’t one that would never happen. This kind of stuff happens on a daily basis. You can be the change in this world and not be the bully. It’s never too late to save a life.
