The characters have a vitality that is gripping and exciting, and the best characters of all --- dragons! --- are absolutely charming. Everything in the story ties together, and no plot line is left unresolved. Any age would enjoy the world McCaffrey created, and although I sense it was written for an adult audience, to my mind, the prose is best-suited for a middle school to high school readership. Boys and girls alike will adore the strong and fiery Lessa, and the cunning yet mysterious F'lar. As for the dragons...well, we are all truly dragonmen at heart!

Michael Shi michaelca74ad3 — A beautiful true story of a family's experience through the Holocaust. The story is like a transcript of Jack and Rochelle Sutin telling their story, but it has real beauty in it. Part of the reason I love this so much is I met Jack and Rochelle Sutin during a premiere of a play about their lives that I was covering for the paper. So I have a signed copy of the book. But it really is a beautiful story.

Roshan R roshan53557fca — Ok, here's the thing about this book, it's a good fantasy story for pre-teens. So I should probably be embarrassed that I read them both and will probably read the 3rd. The story is predictable and felt like it was written by a kid (which of course it was) However, considering he was 12 or something when he wrote it, it's pretty good. It's a fast read and if anyone wants to borrow them, let me know (don't buy them) P.S. There are talking dragons in this one.
