Marta Lorente martalovi — "Last Light" by Terri Blackstock is a believable, well researched novel which details the horrors, inconveniences and struggles for survival that might well occur should an atmospheric surge (EMP)wipe out modern technology as we know it. I am very limited in my knowledge of science and technology but I have always wondered about the possibility of an unexplained occurance in the heavenlies that would strip us of our present dependence on modern technology - cell phones, radio, TV, banking systems, internet, etc. I liked this book because the story is developed in a realistic way. The characters are family members that you "recognize." Ms Blackstock does a good job of portraying the struggle of good and evil in men put under duress. I am not usually drawn to anything of a "murder mystery" genre, but I made an exception to read this book.

Gaute Aase gaute — The first Ayn Rand book I read, amazing. Not quite in the sense that the book was amazing and that the literature was amazing but the idea of it, the freedom. But after reading the fountainhead this seemed not quite as good as it first seemed.

Andhre Andhre andhreart — The Concept: Virginia Wolfe takes readers on a walk while she meanderingly enacts why women need a room of their own in which to become independent thinkers. I read this book quite a while ago, but I really enjoyed it. Any feminist should read one of the movement's best authors. And any woman will appreciate why that one room is so essential.
