Long Jun wormlong — This was a really good book. It seemed to go on forever (26 discs!!) and as I mentioned when I did a progress comment, I felt like I was married to it, but I really did enjoy it. I always love books that create their own reality and this one certainly did that. It was definately worth the effort. I spent so much time with it, I think I'm going to miss it. Try it, you'll enjoy it.

Gil Aerin gaerin — Not Ludlum's best, but not his worst either. Formulaic like Ludlum's other books, however this is set 30 years after the Matarese Circle, with some of the worst characteristics of Ludlum's worst novels, and only glimpses so far of his best work. Ludlum is the master of the chase and action sequences and tangled webs of anti-government conspiracies, and while this novel is chock full of the latter there sure isn't much action so far. There is just a ton of buildup, with shocking (not) revelations that are right in line with his other works.

Brocoli Incorporated brocoli — Although I have read this series through to the 12th book, I didn't want to include all of them on my books list! So consider this my review for all 12 books. Evanovitch's books are definitely chick lit, but within that generic context, they are excellent. Funny, edgy, sexy, and yet full of mishaps and crises that women can identify with, Evanovitch's novels depict a loveable contemporary heroine and her crazy life. The men are hot, the family is nuts (her grandma wields a gun on more than one occasion) and the novels are peppered with wonderful characters - Lula, the ex-hooker turned bounty-hunter-apprentice, Sally, the be-spangled transvestite singer, and Ranger, the mysterious man in black, are all highlights.

Te3 Te3 te3 — Beautiful prose, but the novel would have felt more tightly crafted with fewer characters. I feel like the book would have made a haunting short story, but in novel form, it's not reigned in.
