Monika Kowalik monikakowalik — This was the book and author mentioned in my Great Grandma's family tree book of us Crichton's. It was 1969 and it had just been published so the family tree has a blurb about it. I said I'd keep this in the back of my mind because maybe someday he'd become famous!I was in 8th grade at the time. This was the first book I read by Michael because of that connection. I really enjoyed it as a light sci fi thriller. I recently found the John Lange books he'd written under this name at this same time period and plan to read them as they had great ratings on the paperbacks

Alexandre Duarte alecgd — I really liked this book. I gave it a four for length and the fact that several characters were introduced but never heard from again! I'm assuming that we'll see more of them in later books, but those chapters just left me a little confused. I actually found the first half to be quite entertaining despite what I've read about in other reviews! I'm looking forward to the rest of the series! Finished: March 4, 2011. **I enjoyed reading this even more the second time around! I was sad to see it end, but I'm excited to finally get started on book two! I gave it four stars the first time, and I'm happy to give it five this time!
