Cristian Delacruz delacruzzz — I thought this was really, really sweet. It touched a chord with me, since I'm kind of in the same time of my life as the author, and her feelings about her friends & work & life & mom & "ack! what am I even doing?" resonated. I wished it had been longer, so that it wouldn't have had to end so soon :) I've seen a lot of criticism that this book's self-centered and entirely about shopping and food... while those are fairly true, it didn't bother me. It's a diary, and I actually liked that she seemed to say what she was really feeling, good OR bad, throughout the whole trip. I think without that honesty, the whole thing would've rung a little false. Adorable and a fun read overall!

Ricardo Dias mdarquitetura — I’ve known Roy Frumkes for many years. I remember when he wrote a novel at the age of nine. It wasn’t the best novel I’ve ever read, but it was right up there with “Gravity’s Rainbow,” and “La Recherche Du Temps Perdu.” In those days to pass time Roy and I would hurl cherry bombs at each other in demonstrations of friendly sibling rivalry. Today he writes movies and I write books. We both teach, and we both seem to be on the same humor wave-length. That could be due to genetics, after all he is my brother, but it could also be due to the cherry bomb wars. In any event Roy is the creator of “The Substitute” films which I watch on HBO along with everyone else, and of “Document Of The Dead,” and “Street Trash. ”He has also written a book about independent filmmaking called “Shoot Me.” If you want to know why I consider Roy my favorite brother, you should listen to this interview where I lie through my teeth. listen to the interview

Robert Sánchez elbiendpinga — Farts are funny. This is a scientific fact. Personally I simply don't know if I could be friends and associate myself with anyone who didn't think farts were funny. Perhaps this is childish...but then again for 99.9% of children (and those of us WITH children know this starts at the youngest of ages--when they become aware of the sound of farts even!) farts are even funnier. I would dare say even that farts beat out anything else on the juvenile funny scale. So it's no surprise that this book is a hilariously fun time. Whimsical and childish and simply good natured. I found myself chuckling and reading portions of it to my family as they and me giggled through it.
