That whole theme irritates me throughout the entire series, but other than teaching my children that married me can sleeping around and as long as your wife knows whats going on everything is okay, the story is fun.

Autum Kelly autumkelly802f — Catching Fire is a good book for those who have read the first book, the Hunger Games, and enjoyed it. If you haven’t read it and don’t want to, I would recommend watching the movie or reading the summary on the internet. The movie is an okay substitute for the book because it follows the story pretty closely. It was a very good book and I highly recommend it. I loved this book because Katniss was part of a group in the arena. In the Hunger Games, Katniss was more of a loner or a party of two. In Catching Fire, she was part of the main group. My favorite aspect of the book was that the arena was designed like a clock. I thought it was very clever of Suzanne Collins. I also liked that Peetas and Katniss’ relationship got stronger. My favorite part in the first part of the book during the tour was when they went to District 11. Katniss showed a lot more depth to her character. There wasn’t a part in the book I didn’t enjoy. I would recommend this book to the people who know a lot about the first and like books with action, survival, and love. It was an amazing book. One that you can read more than once and still be entertained by every single time.

Dér Architects der — I can't do it, I just can't finish the dang book. It's just not interesting enough. His writing reminds me of Thomas Hardy in the whole excessively wordy and boring sort of way. I think this book could have been more than cut in half and it would have been an interesting read that clipped along but when I have to force myself to read, I can't justify spending the time reading it. I liked Jack and that was about the only character I felt any emotion for, they just don't seem to exist other than on the page...

Matias Barra barramatias — I'm so glad I stumbled onto this imaginative steam-punk series. I loved the protagonist, a fictionalized Sir Richard Francis Burton, his side-kick, an equally fictionalized Algernon Charles Swinburne, and their adventures in this alternate Victorian England, complete with genetically modified animals, steam engine-propelled penny farthings and flying rotochairs (view spoiler). I loved the inclusion of so many personalities of the time, such as Charles Darwin, Florence Nightingale and Oscar Wilde, and the allusions to others like Edgar Allen Poe's C. Auguste Dupin and Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. Though a few points of the novel bogged down with speeches on the nature of man in relation to the ethics of the technological advances occurring, the pacing builds nicely throughout the book and climaxes in a rip-roaring crescendo. I am very much looking forward to reading the sequel, The Curious Case of the Clockwork Man.

Arian Sharifian asharifianb569 — All the experience I had coming into this book was the movie, which I despise, and the introduction by Burgess. The book was good, very very good. Though to answer his question on if the 21st chapter was needed, I agree with him that it was. It wrapped up the story nicely, where the movie just left me angry and wanting.
