송 현수 thdgustn31d890 — Let's just say, I didn't like this book. Seriously. The plot was awkward with many, many unecessary stuff. The characters weren't developed nicely. The whole thing was just a plain old mess. The only thing that slighly redeemed this novel is probably the ending. Okay, let's start with the plot. There was one main plot that, I felt, was pretty clear and straight-narrowed and that was "what happened to Tommy". However, that's not what I disliked. What I didn't like was all the little subplots that were there as well. I mean, there's so many different things that were completely unecessary and had no point in the whole story. And the characters? Don't get me started. First, none of the characters were well-developed. There seemed no depth in any of them and the one with the most personality and character is Micheal. The rest of the guys, Bones, Tommy and Mixer, were basically observers from the sidelines. And Micheal is so weird. There's this one scene where he stands and watches his friend rape a girl who was obviously drunk or she would have fought back. And he just stood there. Getting a boner. Which kind of disturbed me...and the thing is, that entire scene was completely unecessary. Did it help build the main plot? Nope. Was there any real point in it except letting the readers know what a nutjob Micheal was? Nope. The ending, however, was done quite nicely. It kind of made the whole book seem worthwhile but, not really. The plot for the ending was so predictable but I liked how Micheal grew. He was able to see what was right and what was wrong and was finally able to move on with his life. Overall, Gentlemen is kind of a growing-up novel with a lot of gritty and real information.

Sofia Vila-coro sofiavilacoro — Hip hip hooray for such a great book, a "juicy read" as my co-worker put it, on all the sex, drugs, and rock -n- roll of SNL. This hefty volume (600 pages of story not counting appendix/index), is intriguing and enjoyable from first to last page. Written as if every cast member/writer/"suit" were sitting around a campfire retelling the show's history from inception to present day. you feel as if almost nothing was left out or kept secret. The honesty is a little shocking but really, quite refreshing and eye-opening. The authors seem to REALLY want you to appreciate how unique, groundbreaking, and demanding SNL was/is to create and maintain, and the message does get across. After reading it, you're not sure if you want to work for SNL or would pay NOT to. As I was reading it, I felt this strange attachment and obsession for the show come over me. The only disappointing part was the vitriolic whining of Janeane Garafalo whom I've always thought was absolutely cool and "for real." She just comes off (and this is in her own words, since the book is just a compilation of direct quotes) as self-righteous and yet at the same time, snidely insecure. Chevy Chase is an asshole?? And Mike Myers and Dana Carvey didn't get along during the Wayne's World movies? Woah!

Ahmed Rashad _hmed_ashad — Succubus Heat is the fourth book in the series. I'm a huge fan of Richelle Mead so I love reading all her books. I read the first three books in this series last summer and I decided to keep reading it after reading the Vampire Academy Guide (which is another series by Richelle Mead). I enjoyed reading this book because I really like this series and especially its character and I missed them. These books are filled with action,suspence, mixed with mythology and folklore and that's what I love in Richelle's books.But I must confess that even if I liked this one it was not as great as the other first three and that's why I give 4 stars instead of 5. We're meeting Georgina again 3 months after her break up with Seth and this book is all about her darker self, still struggling with this break up and then followed with Georgina losing her abilities (like she said) after Jerome is kidnapped and becoming a "human" again. Now talking about the characters Seth is just the perfect guy !!! He is a writer, he is intelligent, shy but brave, generous and tender. And his cellphone ringtone is Where the street have no name my favorite U2 songs !!! Yes I know i'm crazy... Even if he is perfect I wasn't really into his relationship with Georgina. Well don't get me wrong their couple was awesome in the other books but in this book he annoyed me a little. And I was a little uneasy... Maggie don't deserve him ! On the other hand Georgina is with Dante now and I didn't really like their relationship. But I was happy to see Georgina's friends again : Cody, Peter, Hugh... The characters that i'm interrested the most in are Carter and... Ramon. I was so happy to see him back finally ! I was waiting for this since the first book. I really can't wait to know more about these two and i'm sure that i'm going to love the next one since I know that Ramon will be in it a lot at least I hope so! About the end another thing that I love/hate with Richelle Mead she always opens new actions and questions at the end and I always want to read the next book as fast as I can.

Manoj Kumar manojkumaraf29 — This is an excellent book by a very talented, though not very prolific writer. The first in a multi-book universe, though not really a series. Science fiction. In teh future circuses travel to the stars to present the Greatest Show on ... your planet/ But what do you do when you break down on a backwater planet and you are broke? Excellent characterization, humor, and general story. I love this one.

Theresa Ayotte theresaayotte — This was an interesting book. The topic of genetic testing and genetic modifications is something that is becoming more real everyday and this book looks at it through a very realistic perspective. The main character, Eli, knows he might be at risk of having Huntington's disease (HD) which has no cure...as the story unfolds the reality of his life becomes clear and the results will create many interesting conversations and debates!

Chanaz Damardji chanazdamadf81 — These authors were Awesome! Each one of their stories is different and each has details that the other doesn't have. My favorite two stories are Bitter Ball & Heart Wrangler. I have always liked cowboys!

Ram Keshav ramkeshav25 — Heller's last novel is as much memoir as anything. Consider this: it's main character is an author who has never been able to live up to the promise of his much praised first novel. Now, approaching death, all he wants to do is write a novel he can sell to the movies. Sad, yes. Laugh-out-loud funny? Absolutely.

Chuck Harrison _outt_8 — It is written in diary form and as such not the easiest read. Then again, it is sprung from a series by one Lynch (David) and the mind of another Lynch (Jennifer), so it is rather to be expected. But it is surprisingly convincing as a diary of a very broken young girl and later woman. That said, it illuminates some of the story further. If you are a Twin Peaks fan (and let's face it, how could you not be?) this is a must read. If you are one of those less enlightened people with lesser tastes for great television, this will make little to no sense to you.

Yuyu Yi _iefen — I've been waiting for this book to come out for several months. While I waited, I enjoyed Gracen's Life Lessons, which are a free prequel to Pandora's Box and can be read on her blog: http://madisonroadtohell.blogspot.com/?z... It is not necessary to read the Life Lessons before you read PB, but I personally think that you will like the characters and understand the situations they are in more. This book, along with the Life Lessons, is Gracen's masterpiece. Seriously, she hit it out of the park with PB! There is not one thing that I didn't like about it. I love Gracen's writing style and how much thought and details she put into this book. I raced through Pandora's Box. When I had to put it aside, thoughts about the book and its characters were raging through my skull. The story is put together flawlessly, the characters are well developed, and Pandora's Box is just an all around phenominal read! I've loved Madison ever since I started reading the Life Lessons, and my love for her has only grown since finished reading Pandora's Box. Madison has grown so much. She's sassy, and a great mother, doing everything in her power to protect her son. She'd gladly give her life to protect him. She's also a badass, which is one of the reasons why I love her. I love a strong heroine, and that's exactly what you get with Mads. Nix is charming, dreamy, and also a badass. I love the chemistry the two of them have. They make one dynamic duo. Micah, who I grew to love in the Life Lessons, I came to hate in Pandora's Box. However, he is one wicked and awesome bad guy. Amos is freaking scary at the begining of the book, but he is also very sweet and protective of his mother. The book has a great pace, spanning several years. The ending is not exactly a cliff hanger, but promises a sequel that will be just as good if not better than the first! I can't wait to read it! Pandora's Box is the perfect mixture of horror and action. It'll have you flipping the pages like mad and clinging to your seat, trying to find out what comes next, and dying for the next book when you finish. I urge you not only to pick up one of Gracen's stories, but also encourage you to find her on facebook, twitter, or visit her blog. Along with being a great author, Gracen is also very sweet and likes to talk to her fans.
