Lisa Targett lisatargett — Comparisons to Rumi are obvious though I find Hafiz to be less subtle and less mystical. And although I absoultely love Rumi and would pick him over Hafiz if I had to, some of the poems in this collection are truly amazing and I look forward to reading more Hafiz in the future.

Nasir Kimanic fuxiz — Before I started reading this book, all I knew about it was that there would be a movie. Teen alien with superpowers, popular girl and her ex-boyfriend... Well, sounds like Superman to me! And, suddenly, everyone talks about it. So I think - What the hell, I´ll read it! First thing that was strange - author´s name (like it came from greek myth), and then it´s actually in the book as one of the Elders...Hm... Cheap trick to get attention. By the end of the book I was sure that writer is a female, but then I found out there are writers - James Frey and Jobie Hughes - and they are boys. Who knew, boys can be pathetic as girls!:) Honestly, I have mixed reactions to this book. For start, no vampires, shapeshifters, ghosts or angels. Refreshing! But save-Earth-think-green plot is usual theme for male authors as supernatural romances is for female authors. Nice book to kill time. But constantly I had a feeling that something is missing. I´m curious about the movie - high expectations.

Harry Cb certaingraphics — Impressive. Weaves myth and reality in a way that reminds me of the movie Big Fish. I hope she can continue at this caliber.

Linne S linnhuang — I've said it before: I love Ian McEwan. While I preferred Atonement, this was nonetheless quite good and, as is often the case with McEwan's writing, was so very, very British. Though, it didn't have the same polish and perfection that I found in Atonement.

Nacho Varone nachovarone — Not a hard read, but still thought provoking and funny. Michael Moore writes the way he talks but with a passion that transcends the melodramatic prose. Main things I took away from this book: Democrats and Republicans are different sides of the same coin. But apparently, Democrats are a lil more hypocritical. They smile while they stab the American people in the back while the Republicans just stab us.
