禾 鸳 heheyuan — While not as sexy as Tipping the Velvet, this book is a gripping read. I envy any reader their first trip through the story, because you will never guess what's going on or what's going to happen next. Perfectly plotted, brilliantly realized. Unfortunately, Sarah Waters' most recent book is rather a snore, and in her next book she's promised to abandon writing about lesbian characters all together ('cause the world of heterosexuality isn't yet well-documented. Sorry to be so bitter, but it makes me mad that as soon as we get someone decent she can't wait to rush away.) Anyway, this one's very exciting, so check it out!

Amol Doiphode amold89 — I got this book just to read the short story "1408" and it was good. I think I might like to see the movie. the story was too short for me but I liked it. I am not really into scary stuff but for some reason this story intrigues me. the rest of the stories were OK. I really liked the one called "That feeling you can only describe in french" meaning déjà vu. That was very good. Not a book I would recommend though. I forgot how much Stephen King swears in his stories. Even in the introduction to the book he is dropping four letter words. For a such a gifted witter the swearing in the introduction really made him sound unintelligent.

Camila Maia milamaia — Book started out very interesting and funny. The stories seemed to get repetitive after a while though. This book is definitely not for the faint of heart either.

Lee Black leeb9972 — I am really enjoying this book about Ernest Hemingway's first wife Hadley Richardson and their life in Paris. It is an effortless read and nice to be in Paris among the creative set. Loved this book!
