Voglio Design vogliodesign — This was a favorite by Emilie Loring. Pearl Harbor happens during the story and beyond that the whole book was better than most of her others.

Who Magazin _magazin — Another book I wanted to read in one sitting as I needed to see if there was a happy ending for a little girl who had never asked for any trouble. Dani was abandoned at birth and at first life with her foster parents wwas great, then they had kids of their own and her foster dad left, her foster mother then started abusing her and making her life hell. She was rescued from this situation and put into a children's home which was no better - the others bullied her and her case worker gave her the creeps. The only option was to run away. But she was seen by a monster who befriended her before locking her in a flat with another druggie girl and then selling her body. She felt as if she was at the end of her tether and nothing would ever be normal again - what she didn't reckon on was her real mother endlessly searching for her and never giving up until she was safely back in her arms.

Nathalia Horbach nathaliahorbach — I picked it this book expecting to read about Joyce Carol Oates writing process and life, unfortunately those subjects come up rarely in this slim tome, as Oates choses to focus much more broadly on writers at large. While this collection of essays was more critical than personal in nature, it is still worth reading and learning from. I just wish Ms. Oates has shared more of her own experiences with us.

Eva Antoinette jersineva0259 — My daughter, Ayden, recommended this book and I truly enjoyed it. The illustrations were great and the whole approach unique. Charming book!

Emilie Krasi leebylou9922 — interesting presentation of what would happen in an epidemic of blindness. The human and societal reactions. Curious style that grew on me.

Nashid Towhid nashidtowhid — Given Stephenson's reputation, I'm pretty surprised at the lack of sci-fi in this book. It's more of a thriller, and one of the best I've read in a while. Characters that stick with you in a globe-trotting adventure that uses technology in pretty realistic ways. The main plot arc relies on a handful of pretty crazy coincidences, but the fallout from them is so entertaining that I don't mind. Side note: I know Stephenson usually gets criticized for his lack of endings. Reamde definitely has one, though it's slightly abrupt.

Yu Gao gaoyu19945ffb9 — A very sad book, to see a girl going through such grief at loosing her boyfriend and thinking it was her fault. I liked it though. It was very sweet. Cannot wait to read another book by Lisa Schroeder.

Fo Fo fo_liu — What can I say other than I bought it when I moved to Texas. A silly as this may sound, it was a good read and very informative.
