Miguel Rojas _evi_z — I expected Fast Food Nation to be made up of frightening facts and antecdotes about the production of meat and potatoes, and while that's all there in the book's second half (did you know that until 1997 they fed cattle dead dogs & cats from animal shelters?), the first half concerns the effects of fast food on our cultural landscape; not only the health effects--particularly on children--but the "franchising" of America and the altering of the American landscape, aesthetically and naturally. An enlightening read, though the halting prose style is a bit trying. Learn to use conjunctions and semicolons, jerk!
