Jay Truong jayytruongg — Didn't finish. Got about a fifth of the way in and got tired of reading about all kinds of details but not having the story go anywhere. Skipped to end, and discovered that after six hundred some pages, nothing much more happened. Though I imagine there were lots of details.

Bo Peng dahaipeng — The last part of the series. It was pretty good and there were so many things explained, no wonder this volume was much longer than the previous ones. We found out who Shaolan and Sakura and Shaolan 2.0 and Sakura 2.0 and Watanuki actually were and what happened to them. The ending was slightly open-ended; the main story found its end but it wasn't entirely happy and it opened so many new possibilities. Though I was a bit disappointed that we didn't get to see some of the characters they had met on their way again and whose story thus remained unfinished, like the vampire twins.

Bridget Mcquillan bammcq — How much should we divorce an idea from the one stating it? How much can we forgive of a philosophy that has motivated a man to support a movement that was decidedly murderous? How much should philosophy be accountable to its consequences and/or be able to play out in reality. I am really enjoying Wolin's analysis of the effect of Heidegger's 'fall' on four of his Jewish students and the ways in which they were able to explain/analyse/reconcile/reject Heidegger's teachings in their post war work. These are questions that have been nagging me in my own lay person's reading of philosophy and I am glad to have them touched upon in this very readable text.
