Karen Carreño karencarrenio — A book that has been on my 'to-be-read' list for a very long time. I honestly don't know why I haven't read it before because it was very good. Extremely good. I wish I had read it earlier - it would have raised my standards for urban fantasy. War for the Oaks is said to be the book that defined the entire genre of urban fantasy and I can definitely see why and how. This raises the 'elves in the city' concept to a whole new level for me. Every other urban fantasy I've read got blown away after I finished this one. Basic plot: Eddi is a musician who gets pulled into the war between the two warring factions of Faerie. She ends up getting more invested into the war than she had planned as she makes friends with the phouka who is guarding her and discovers that some of her band members are Faerie themselves. HIGHLY recommended.

Livia Lopes liviapaiva — I love the Kitty series but this one surprised me. I think it was more like a horror movie. The title does not lie, it is really Kitty's House of Horrors.

Terrence Wilson _errence19 — Perfect! A billionaire and a man afraid of being used for his looks alone. Asa may have all the money in the world, but from the start you can tell that the one thing he wants more than anything is for someone to love him for who he is. Mario wants the same thing but being a product of"Arm Candy", his biggest fear is ending up the same way. It's easy to see how much both characters wNt each other and their love is written across the sky for all but themselves to see. It takes some time but their faith in the sincerity of each other grows and allows them to have what they've always wanted, true love. This book was an enjoying read from start to finish, and the sex scenes were always HOT!! even when they were sweet and touching. Another great one from Carol Lynne!

Chanil Yu peachman — This was a beautifully true story about a friendship between Ann Patchett and fellow author Lucy Grealy. For a totally different perspective (and altogether different story), read "Autobiography of a Face" by Lucy Grealy. I totally loved both books.
