Brendan Stromberger bstro — I really enjoyed this all the way through - had a hard time putting it down.

Mew Amazing mewamazing — Another good book from Burroughs, but I feel as though it stopped a bit short from its full potential. He so quickly skipped over the craziness that took place at the end of the story, teasing me with a quick glimpse into one night when he smokes ice with a prostitue in the projects. I wanted to hear more after that, but before I knew it one of those "One Year Later" texts flashed on screen. Maybe this dissappointed me so much because I love wild and ridiculous stories, and felt like he was holding out on me. I also felt his voice in this memoir was a little cocky - which, okay, I understand maybe he was trying to get across that he succeeded at landing a high paying job despite his crazy past (see Running With Scissors review) only to realize he was still messed up and was drowning it with alcohol. But I still feel he mentioned his six figure salary and Gucci loafers a few too many times. I still think this book is definitely worth reading if you are a fan of Burroughs' other work, or even just into rehad stories.
