Abbie Jewkes abbiej94a4d6 — I was a little disappointed when I first started this book because I thought it was about "Snooki" and her life. After I got over that initial disppointment I really enjoyed the book. I felt like the plot was good and always kept me guessing as to what would happen next. I have to say I really didn't care for the way it ended, but overall I enjoyed the book.

Fábio Goulart fabaohard — I learned a lot about Newfoundland. I didn't know it was composed of Labrador and the island of Newfoundland. Also, I had no idea it was independent of Canada for such a long period of time. Outports are small towns on the coast reached only by sea. St. John on Newfoundland Island is actually the oldest permanent settlement north of Mexico. I am trying to read all the books in the "Let's Discover Canada" series.

Anna Caprini _nna_aprini — I recently read in an edition of Mother magazine an article where the author recommended reading books about the outdoors to wile away your winter days when the weather is too bad to be out doors. Then I decided to read A Walk in the Woods in the beginning of spring, that still feels like winter. It is a great read! Bryson's humor just makes every book I read of his a treat. I really admired that he just up and decided to hike the Appalachian Trail, researched it and did it. There really is no better way to learn about our world, wherever we might live.

Kazunori Kawamura kazuwo — Really thought this book had no redeemable quality at first, but even though there were elements of the book I just do not care for the plot turned out to be incredible. 5 stars for the story, but can only give it a 2 for how bad the language was and also sexual stuff I did not care for. so compromising with a 3.

Amy Watson ammywatson — Some very funny ideas--one main character very unlikable, but suspect that was the point.

Gustavo Peres gustavoperes — By far, one of my favorite of Haines' books. The plot was straight-forward at first, but ended up becoming intricate, which I love. and the "bad guy" could have been one of many. About half way through, I thought I knew who he was, but things kept happening that tried to make me change my mind. Someone else came along, and well... you think this one? maybe.....? So you keep reading. And boy, when you get to the ending....!! I was right, but did NOT think this was the way they were going to go with it!! (The boyfriend situation was not working out the way I had planned, either.. and now I have NO idea what's going to happen, there. Wow, Sarah Booth has some bad luck!) Good job, Mrs. Haines, your work just keeps getting better and better! I cannot wait to find the next in the series. And I couldn't be happier that there are more to read, after that!

Ck Liao littlekook4eeb — cloudies. <-- aka: devoted followers of henry cloud. i don't know why i didn't like it. if there was a negative star, i would have rated it that. maybe even several negative stars, but that's just mean. sorry, cloudies. not only is the writing overly simplistic but the counsel actually... sucks. it felt as if i went into a counseling session for a much needed therapy session and left a bit disappointed as thoughts of wasted time and money agitated my drive back home. speaking of... exactly how much time did i waste actually reading it? anyway, this book reminded me of good will hunting, specifically, matt damon's character, when he shot down the subsequent subpar, egotistical, "are-you-kiddin-me" psychologists prior to meeting mr. maguire. yeah, i'm lumping this book in the first category. pretty harsh, huh? don't get me wrong, i'm usually not so mean. it's just that so many, esp. evangelical christians have bought into the cloudie mentality. and, to be honest, i see dangers ahead. oh well... what's a girl to do.
