I mean, the writing in this book is just fantastic. Tahereh Mafi writes so beautifully. She says things in a way that I’ve never thought about. My list of favorite quotes could go on and on. I was drawn into this story from the very first page. The first sentence had me hooked. I wanted to know why the main character Juliette had been locked up for 264 days and why hadn’t she touched another human being in so long! I really liked being able to be a part of Juliette’s inner thoughts and reading all of the strike out thoughts. I thought it was interesting. I really liked all of the characters in the book. I think they were well written and multi-dimensional. I was never bored with the story and I think it contained a great mix of action, some romance, drama, and even had suspenseful parts. This book kept me interested throughout the whole story. I thought the ending was definitely unexpected. It’s like it took a left turn after going right the whole book. I’d say the last few pages were good but maybe a little disappointing... but not really. Either way, I’m definitely looking forward to seeing where this story goes in the future! Overall: Wonderful writing, great action, Do Not Miss This!
