Regan Carey regancarey — I don't usually read books that are considered fantasy but I thought the previews for the movie looked really good so I had to read the book before seeing the movie. Part of me wants to hate the book. There's the voice in the back of my head shouting "time travel isn't real, this is stupid!" as I'm reading. I'm not liking the idea of someone suddenly showing up naked and throwing up. Its hard to get to used to the book skipping around all over in time and not being in chronological order. There's a lot of phrases from other languages thrown in I don't understand and tons of names of punk bands I've never heard of that I just skim over. Somehow when I ignore the voice in the back of my head and put everything together I loved the book! I immediately got sucked into the book and couldn't put it down. With the time traveling so many hints are dropped and I couldn't wait to get farther in the book and find out how things would work out. By the time I got to the end I just wanted it to keep going and not end!

Alexis Hetrick _lexis_etrick — I don't feel like I can give this book a star rating because I pretty much skimmed it. This could just have been because of the mood I was in or because I wasn't up for some of the subject matter - namely, infidelity. I can say that I recall the quality of the writing being quite good, so I would definitely consider reading another book by this author. So?

John Chou doublech — Try Scarre's "Chronicle of the Roman Emperors: The Reign-By-Reign Record of the Rulers of Imperial Rome" instead. It may have less pictures, but is much better written. I picked this book up from the bargain rack at Borders and sold it used for a dollar rather than have it decorate my bookshelf.
