Dominika Kurkova _ominika_urkova — Margaret Atwood rules. The Edible Woman is so deeply engaging, I was sorry to have finished it. I really enjoyed the kitchen sink surrealist (to coin a phrase) quality to this book. It kind of reminded me of Angela Carter's "Love." They share the same humorously grim view of the slightly unraveled gentility of 1960's post-collegiates trying to hold it together in their capacities as grown-ups. This is only the second of Atwood's books I have read (the first was the amazing Alias Grace). Any recommendations for which one I should read next?

Mari Carmen _i_kett_ — I was very excited to finally get to read the last book of this series. Francesca, the heroine, is a fascinating character that I adored from the first book. Her relationship with the Duke of Rochford (Sinclair) is hinted at through out the whole series, and it was great to finally get to the bottom of their history. And what a history is was.... I love both of these characters. Especially the Duke. He's everything that you could want in a hero. While he isn't your typical 'rake' he was still very interesting to read about. The book lagged for me in a couple of parts. I wanted Francesca to just get on with it, but over all the wait was worth it. I would highly recommend this series. All of the characters are witty, interesting and you won't be disappointed.

Matthias Schmutz matthiasschmutz — A very interesting and detailed book on Islam in America. I got this book late in 2010 and have just finished reading it so it would be interesting to see Dr. Ahmed do a follow up to this (and by exstention his previous book Journey Into Islam: The Crisis of Globalization) on how the Arab Spring has had, if any, on the perception of muslims in the US and abroad.
