Zeshi Xiang zeshixiang — After reading a review of this book by Steven Weinberg in the New York Review I decided that it was a chance to understand what understand what cosmologists think about what it is had how it all happened. The book explains things in vivid, understandable terms. What I couldn't understand had more to the limits of my imagination and the in-credible ideas that people like Feynman have come up with to explain observations about the cosmos. The jokey style of the book detracted some, but probably helped keep me going when I got discouraged about my ability to understand.

Jacqueline Polanco jepolanco — Wow! Didn't really expect to enjoy this book, since I'm not a huge runner, BUT I LOVED it! Part travel narrative, but all around informative, I found it to be both entertaining and fascinating. Interestingly enough, I had just bought new running shoes, had been upping my miles, and was having some pain. This book totally convinced me to take a closer look at barefoot running.
