Through the events of this novel, as the Friendship starter is passed throughout the town, each woman slowly learns to trust another with her heart as she looks to heal and move forward. The emotions are real and there isn't a situation here that every reader can't easily identify with. Each character walks a different walk, comes from a different place; cross-generational women, reaching out to help one another. It's a story of sisters, moms, friends, bakers, artists.no one is left out here. This brilliant author has found a way into the reader's heart through these great characters. Darien Gee gives the details and thought that make a book great. A book that will stay with you long after you finish the Epilogue; it will stay in your thoughts and call you back to read it again. In addition, this book is a slam-dunk for anyone that loves food or loves to bake. I was dying to get a nibble of all the great foods mentioned in this book! Don't miss the recipes included in the back of the either. I'm seriously considering whipping up my own "starter" and passing this around my small town! A book to love, a book to give, and a book to remember.don't miss this one!

Liz Kalloch _iz_alloch — Better than the first one and a nice way to break up some of the more serious reading I've been doing. It was nice to see Anna come into her Omega-ness. Still skittish but able to take down some bitches when she needs to. Through her development in this book, it's clear that Omegas aren't just super subs. I couldn't make that correlation in the first book. It's sweet to see her doing her best to support Charles and protect the people she has come to care about. The Alpha and Omega series is helping get me through the Mercy gap. It's nice to see the world Briggs created outside the adventures of Adam and Mercy. I wish the vampire mercs were explained a bit more, but I suppose it wasn't necessary for this book. I'm just curious how one goes about hiring vampires, especially since they have laws of their own. Were they imported or just a group one man put together and decided not to follow any laws of the territories he was passing through? Not really vital to the plot, just my own curiosities. I'm excited for the next one.

Wind ʓʤ chisaicoi — This book contains a collection of essays about the tv series Lost. I found most of the essays interesting and they gave me a different viewpoint on the series. I added a couple of the books mentioned as "Lost" influences to my to-read list.

Frank Ozmun _rank_zmun — The story in this book was interesting and well written, as well as the characters. Something I really appreciated was how the autism of one of the secondary characters was described: "I'm not deluding myself into thinking Pedro's a normal boy, Ryan. It's just that his brain is wired differently than yours and mine. Pedro's autistic, but he's not stupid or handicapped"
