I believe he's planning on 7 books, and with this being the 5th, there were some definite plot gaps that I am sure will be filled in the future publications - very much looking forward to seeing more of this series on HBO and reading the next books this author produces. Amazing!

MaryBeth was a little annoying with her whole obsession with Dean Dineno, but I guess that’s how some of us girls sound like when we are crushing over a hot guy. If you’re in the mood for a short funny cheeky girl story, I recommend reading this book.

Sometimes there are books that are so popular and ubiquitously taught, that I just choose to overlook them. Reading as an adult, I would give this book high marks, but it has been my students' reactions that have prompted me to award five stars to this short little book about the German occupation of Denmark. Yesterday was Friday and we still have three more chapters to read together. At the end of the read aloud, I cruelly ripped the books out of kids' hands. One child ran into the bathroom and locked herself in the stall so that she could finish. Another child went into a another classroom's library to find a copy.
