Justus Leonhardt email9da1 — I finished this book over a weekend. It was funny, fast paced and offbeat. The characters are your typical silly selfish dysfunctional average family. It was like being a fly on the wall to their antics and musings about themselves and others. Haddon's style is offbeat and witty. If you want to get serious though, you can think about the underlying moral issues of love and commitment and make your own judgements.

Liv Sjøberg livli — Actually read this book third, back from 3 to 2 to 1. It does help fill in the gaps, and I laud any book that helps to bring back a generation of readers. My personal favorite of Tolkien is still greater, but much harder to understand, perhaps.
