Lorenzo Patuzzo lorenzopatuzzo — Some people should just not have kids...much like "Running with Scissors," you come away wondering how ANYONE made it out relatively unscathed, much less successful! I do appreciate when an author can still find the good in a bad situation...Walls' parents, in all their craziness, still managed to give their kids good values and made them feel loved. Such a shame they could not have given them the total package...

Teodor Manolov teodormanolov — This was a lot like Jane Eyre, only shorter, less dramatic, not as well written, and about a secretary rather than a governess. I liked a lot about it, including the characters and most of the dialogue, but it didn't read very smoothly. The pacing was off and the scenes felt episodic and kind of choppy as a result. Also--and this is my biggest complaint--even though I'm into romance and don't mind the love scenes, this one read more like pornography in prose. Not much dialogue or inner monologue during the sex, and lots of graphic descriptions of her **** and his **** and how he **** her wet ****, and she was so ****, etc. I like my romance novels to be a little more...romantic? If you can stomach the sex scenes though, it's really not bad.
