thainagastro
Thainá Soares thainagastro — This book isn't all that great. It's like reading a book by your really smart friend from high school who went on to excel in some scientific field. Their sense of humor isn't really that diverse or well-developed, but they think it is. However, if you're like me and are thinking of pursuing a career in the medical field, there are lots of interesting tidbits. Case studies, stupid anatomy humor, etc. You can follow along with your anatomy book and get some context for all some of those parts of the body you've been trying to memorize. There should be a book like this that covers internal medicine that students read in anatomy and physiology. Hmmm. There probably is, I just need to find it....

Zubair Siddiqui zubairsiddiqui — some incredible writing, but the most BORING plot in the universe. Want to see what happens, enjoyed alot of swans way, but may be stuck in the midst of this one eternally. Last time I ever eat a madeline cookie...

Isabel Ontiveros isa_ontiveros — An inside view of the creation of Iraq. Makes me wonder if our problems today wouldn't exist if decisions made in early 1900s would have been different.

Alejandra Morales _lmotr — So I really like this series even though my ratings seem a bit lower than average for me. I'm trying to be more critical I guess. Each story in this series is very different and I like how they don't all involve a suspense element. This one was not as interesting in terms if plot, but it's a fast read. Julie has been obsessing over one if her massage clients, Nathan. When he doesn't show interest ( or so she thinks). She decides to fulfill a fantasy and goes to Damon's club for a little anonymous action. It heats up from there, but the scenes are nice and we get a glimpse of what Micah's book will be about, which look really good. I was very excited to see when was happening in the lives of past characters in the series, especially Damon and Serena.

coelhobranco
Cristiano Souza coelhobranco — Let's play What's Wrong With This Picture: Scene one: Bella asks Edward what he's thinking about. He replies that he's thinking about right and wrong. She rolls her eyes and tries to get him to think of something else by trying to make him kiss her. Does anybody see anything wrong with this picture? No? Well, how about the fact that by the end of the book, Bella still hasn't grown up. Again, nobody talks about Eddie's issues with her becoming a vamp. The issues from the last book and the issues brought up in this book remain almost completely unresolved. She even says that the possible loss of her soul is an 'insignificant hurdle' compared with the fact that Eddie might not want her. ID-I-OT. Speaking of Edward, he's still a drip who doesn't believe in the realities of human love. (Having written that sentence, I need a bucket, because it doesn't apply to Twilight anyway.) Okay, moving right along. So maybe I could be a little more sympathetic with a girl who falls to pieces when true love leaves her (Stephenie Meyer commented that on her website, she considers them 'true love', no questions asked). I mean, I can understand it. That is what girls do when they break up with a long-time boyfriend. I've known guys who feel the same way when their girlfriend leaves them. Heck, that is what MARRIED WOMEN do when their husbands leave them. But. I am only sympathetic if: a) They have been together for ages... at least a year. You know how long Bedward has been a happening thing? Six months. b) There is a REASON for their love. Well, okay, maybe I'm stretching the truth here. After all, Bella and Edward DO have a reason: she smells good, he looks good. Oh my gosh, it's a love story worthy of Greek mythology (actually, on second thought, it probably is. Anyone know if they had vamps back then?). Yes, the basis of their relationship is still an unexplained mystery. c) Their relationship is healthy, and they love each other for who they are. Yeah, somehow, I can't believe it in the case of Bella and Edward. They are never on the same page. He's very controlling. She's quite manipulative and whiny. Only the addition of Jacob Black, and the Italy trip (warning: there's quite a bit of car theft here) makes it worth considering a second re-read. And, sure, I'll definitely read it again. I'll read the whole series again. Because I'm kicking the Twilight habit by reading it over and over again, interspersed with GOOD stuff. (Lemme tellya, it's working.)

Lauren Blythe _auren_lythe — ** spoiler alert ** I liked the story of this book but it definitely had some slow bits that I felt like I was plodding through. I became frustrated with the characters at times because their actions did not make sense to me. I guess because of the time period some of the abuse of women was more acceptable(?) but I found it maddening. I also got a couple characters mixed up a couple times and had to reread a paragraph before realizing what I had mistaken. I hated Fumero! I'm sure that was the intent but I just wanted someone to get rid of him. How did he rise in power when he was such a scheming turn coat? I was glad that Daniel's story did not wind up mirroring Carax's and that there was some redemption in the lives of the characters.

Paris J _aris_ordan — This book made me very interested in the masons and want to learn more. I even researched everything while I was reading to find out more about it. It made me fall in love with Dan Brown's style of writing so I had to go on to read all of his other books. Dan Brown is a brilliant author.
