류 원경 toniryoudd10 — I finally finished! I "read" about 80% of the book by listening to the unabridged audio (this version was excellent - the narrator was first-rate). I read the last 150-200 pages the old-fashioned way.Reading Don Quixote was a very educational experience for me. I know it is consistently ranked as one of the greatest novels of all time, so I just felt like I couldn't be a truly well-rounded reader without having experienced it.The book was very funny, which I didn't expect. Sancho Panza in now one of my favorite comic characters - up there with Lady Catherine from P&P, I'd say.The first half of the book was the better half. There was something noble and sweet about Don Quixote and Sancho and their insane quests. By the second half, they had acheived some fame and most of the adventures consisted of their "fans" playing cruel tricks on them to see how they would respond.I'm very glad I took the time to read it. (But don't worry - I won't put it on the book club schedule next year!)

Jinseong Aoo aooportfolio — Though Frank Herbert is most well known for writing the Dunes series, one of my ultimate favorite books is by him, and is this book. Very well written and it captures the heartbreaking struggle of the Native Americans.

Kiku Yamasaka 406810367b5c2 — I have read this book multiple times. It was the first book in the Vorkosigan series that I read. I have since read them all and now realize that this is probably the most awkward entry point I could have chosen for the series. This would explain my original 3 star rating, which I have now changed to 5. This last reading was an audio book. I think this is a great way to re-read this book, but might not be the best as a first reading because of the many Vor based names in this book. (might be hard to keep track) Full of fun and twisty intrigue.
