Jules Vajda julesvajda — A collection of Kaplan's essays from his reportage and reading. The first chapter – an expanded essay from which the book takes its title – is Kaplan at his best, blending personal experience and historical anecdote to argue that the destablizing forces of environmental degredation, political ineptitude and cultural mores are driving societies further and further into poverty anc chaos and tearing 'official' boundries apart. The rest of the book is mostly weighty, occasionally irrelevant posturing, which is disposable. A quick read and a great introduction to Kaplan...highly recommended.

Mayar Ahmed _ayar_urad — This New York Times Bestseller is positively hilarious. Columnist Lourie Notaro invites readers to experience little 4 page glimpses into her life. Notaro is maddeningly funny, and you’ll feel embarrassed if you read this book around other people (as you’ll be laughing so often). If you’re a fan of Seinfeldian humor you’ll love Notaro.

Corey Sasada conan25 — Leven Thumps and the Wrath of Ezra is an amazing book. Just like the previous book, you cannot put it down, no matter what you do. I love this book because of the beginning just drags you into the book. Also, I love the new plot of this book. I like this series because each one has a different plot, but they connect with the other book in a way. And, I really enjoyed reading about the characters. They are always fun and playing constantly. I reccomend this book to whoever liked Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I loved this book, and I really think that you will too.

Karla Maheca _ — تتمة لقصة البرغوثي التي لا أجد لنفسي أي أحقية في تقييمها أو تقييم أحداثها لا بالسلب ولا بالإيجاب فكل ماوضعته من نجوم لم يكن سوى تقديرا للروح الفلسطينية والكفاح الفلسطيني الذي لايسعه هذا الكتاب ولا مئات الكتب غيره. أبدأ بهذا الاقتباس : أي تفكير جهنمي أدى إلى أن يُسمى شرق فلسطين بالضفة الغربية. صـ 184 لا أدري لم كنت أفكر سلفا بأن السبب في التسمية هو وقوع الضفة الغربية إلى الغرب من البحر الميت! ربما لأنني وفي سن أصغر وقفت عليه مرتان ورأيت العساكر مشدوهة الأمر الذي جعلني أتسائل دوما إن كنت سأقترب أكثر من فلسطين يوما ما. .. مما شدني أيضا المقطع الذي تحدث فيه عن رئيس السلطة الفلسطينية الأسبق ياسر عرفات رآه البعض أبًا ولم أره أبا على الإطلاق. أنا من الأساس لا أحب للزعيم أن يكون أبا ولا أحب للمواطنين أن يكونوا "أبناءًا" ولا أحب للوطن أن يكون عائلة – صـ 200 وأخيرا ، مقطع فكرت فيه أيضا أنا لا أدين الحجاب ولا أدين من تقرر أن ترتديه. ما أدينه هو اعتبار الحجاب ماركة مسجلة للإيمان وبرهانًا على التقوى والصلاح وحسن الأخلاق. صـ 241
