Arix King _ — This book was a beautiful exploration of family, sisters, love and loss. At first, I found it a little slow moving, and at about the 80 page point there was a character who had been mentioned before, but not in a way that I could remember who he was or what had happened to him (turns out, the author chose to carefully bring him in, bit by bit and that was part of the way the story was written.) It really bothered me that I couldn't remember who he was and I spent an hour or so looking back through the pages I'd read, trying to figure it out. Once I realized that I hadn't forgotten anything, I quickly dove back into the story and was captivated by the love story that began to unfold.

Wajahat Ali wajahat1981 — A lovely 19th century melodrama (panorama) that cynically observes the plights of womanhood to be equally born of social restrictions and women's passive acceptance of their own degradation and unhappiness.
