Cintia Gómez cintiagv — Story of an over-the hill gay man living in Paris during the '80's and early '90's. He is HIV positive, though asymptomatic. He falls in love with a man half his age, who contracts AIDS and dies. Well-written story, some very good observations/descriptions, up in the air ending that's somehow appropriate, as his life continues even with his friends dying.

Huang Tina 5241188816e7a — I'm all for geeky stuff, so I was intrigued by the concept of this book. However, I'm not too into YA- I've only read a book by one of the authors and it was years ago, so I didn't really know what to expect in terms of writing style. In general, the stories provided a light, fun read. I know that these are short stories, but too many of the stories felt like they lacked substance and development. Even worse, some were long and slow and in the end, I still felt like I didn't get anything out of it. I would rate the first half closer to four stars. I liked everything up until The King of Pelinesse, which sucked, then came The Wrath of Dawn, which was okay. Quiz Bowl Antichrist and The Quiet Knight put the book back on track to greatness, but then everything just plunged downhill for the next five stories until a last minute save by The Stars at the Finish Line. I was looking forward to the last story since it dealt with Rocky Horror, but I found it very disappointing.
