Siddhanth Sheorey thesocialphoto — What to say about this book? First off, let me just say that Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite books of all time. It's a book I've re-read at least a dozen or more times, so when I started in on this one, I was shocked at how closely Prom and Prejudice copied the original. I, admittedly, was kind of bothered by that. I mean, Pride and Prejudice is soooooooooooo amazingly wonderful, it bothered me that this book doesn't even hide the fact that it's copying Jane Austen's masterpiece, names and all, but with a modern twist. Okay, so having said that, I didn't hate the book, I enjoyed it, and I liked the ending, but you just can't beat the original.

Tram Hoang tramhoang0988 — Very interesting, but difficult to use as a "companion." You can't read it alongside GR, not only because they're about eight pounds each but because the companion is so comprehensive that you'd almost literally be confined to reading one sentence (in GR) at a time and then consulting the companion for meanings/references/etc. But it's also difficult to read one entire section of GR followed by the corresponding section of the companion, because with Pynchon's dense, wordy, long and circular style, it's hard to recall what any passage was about if you didn't just read it. So, the companion was difficult logistically, but otherwise good. I'll definitely use it when I re-read the novel; I think it would lend itself much better to that sort of use.

Robert Vel gasvi — even if you're for the 'other side', i feel this book gives great perspective into many issues and helps one form a logical opinion. he is an excellent writer who makes if feel like he is just talking to you like a real person.
