Katy Orr katyorr — I can see where a collaborative effort among nannies would give you the circumstances and results that make up the essence of this book 'cause you just can't make some of that stuff up! Who would have thought there were that many parents who use their children as "accessories" and are completely clueless when it comes to raising a child and is a depressing thought. At the other end of the spectrum, the book is funny and will probably be an even funnier movie. A quick, entertaining read.

Michael Dedrick michaeldedrick68ee — This book was one of the best fantasy books I've ever read. It has all the perfect stories compiled all in one book. The things I like best about reading books with lots of short stories is that if you don't like one or is getting tired of it, its over withen the chapter. Also it has just great sarcastic/humerous writing throughout it and I feel that keeps it fresh. This book goes through all the stereotypical thoughts about Unicorns and Zombies. Then it steps out into a complete different zone, where you get drunken and or killer unicorns, and zombies that sometimes want mostly brains or is undoubtedly just yearning for true love. Throughout the book before every story there are two people fighting about which is better. There are two teams, team unicorn and team zombie. Each team has about 6 writers a peice that have about 2-3 short stories in the book each. Its becoming and refreshing to have so many writers so I can get a lot of styles in one book. This really is a great read, and somewhat challenging to boot. So the final question is only this, team zombie or team unicorn?

赵 赵志杰 fengzihua — I had seen a preview for The Peaceful Warrior movie and decided to take my father (a former gymnast) to see it. We both enjoyed the movie a great deal, despite its poor reviews. Some months later, I saw a copy of the source book in Barnes and Noble and decided to read it. I am glad I did, it was not disappointing. It was more detailed and went deeper than the movie did (as is almost always the case with movies based on books), and it also spanned a longer period of time in the author's life (it is autobiographical). I would recommend this to anyone that likes to read philosophical stuff -- I can make a loose parallel between this and Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenence, although Zen is by far a more intense reading experience.
