Kasaundra Kincaid kakincaid — This a a great book. It about the intersection of the lives of four characters of varied backgrounds. What I found interesting about it, was that Mistry gives a very detailed history of all the four main characters, so I felt like I was experiencing the story from all of their viewpoints. The book made me think about my relationships with others, and how I and the other people in my life arrived at our relationships from very different journeys, and how when we part, we may go very different ways again, but will always be affected by the times we shared together. As I finished the book, I thought of how the events of the ending had so much meaning because of the story. That's what I love about great novels - after getting so wrapped up in the characters, I can be blown away with emotion by the telling of the simplest events, which would otherwise have very little meaning. It makes me think about the people I see on the street, or at work, or anywhere - you never know what they've been through that day or that year or that decade, and so often nobody wants to talk about it.
