I bought this book as soon as I returned to the States and it was perfect. It took me back. I highly, highly recommend it for anyone who wants to visit.

Juliana Gs _uliana_oto — ** spoiler alert ** This book was kind of hard for me to follow at times, it seemed like the author spoke in riddles a lot or maybe I'm not very cultured in literature, but it was kind of a sad and depressing kind of story I didn't really like that, I much prefer Disneys version :) I never could decide if Clara really loved the Prince or if he loved her, it just seemed like there was a lot left unsaid, I thought that was weird too that she came home from the ball a wreck did the prince rape her or what it was just weird.

Mohammed Hafez mohammed7afez — I love the book and I love Stephen King (even though I disagree violently with a lot of his personal opinions!), but I think what I mainly love about this book is the premise! It's just so awesome! To not only be living in a place with all of these ghosts (I LOVE haunted house stories!) but to be stranded there and unable to escape--it's brilliant! As great as it is, I wonder what it would have been if he hadn't been coked out of his head most of the time he was writing it. I am now ready to tackle the sequel, Dr. Sleep, and am so excited about it!
