Oscar Welsh _agga_rts — Interesting story, centering around the 4th wife of a Nigerian businessman. When she enters the household, the first 3 wives aren't too pleased, so in retaliation, they keep a very important family secret from her. The story is told in the voices of all four wives, which gives the reader a good understanding of where every is coming from. The book is in turns humorous in an ironic way, not in the crack-you-up, ha-ha kind of way; serious, but not too heavy; and thoughtful. There are some Nigerian cultural norms that, if one doesn't know about, can confuse the story sometimes; it did for me, although eventually you get it.

Dorothy Stone sodorothyd01f — This book helps...a lot. It is a meditation on the human experience, and it's pages are home to some of the most honest thought I've ever read. Although, it was a shame he had to end this series incredibly thoughtful letters trashing journalism. But then again, as someone who wants to be a journalist, I too am not happy with the state of most of it. I'd recommend this to anyone who is feeling alone, and needs to hear the words of a truly honest person for once.
