Carlos Cardenas _i_rafico_oy — So here's the thing. I made the big mistake of reading this book about 15 years ago, when I was pregnant with my second child and in the midst of morning, noon and night sickness. I thought this was a great, scary book, but then something in it triggered my gag reflex and I had to put it down. Everytime I have attempted to get back to reading it, I'm brought back to the days of vomit and have to put it back down. Maybe Stephen King is just that good. I'm going to try it again this summer.

Wei Long lake — Great book! A fun read without being totally trash. Makes suburban motherhood seem all the more perilous a task to take on! I'm dying to watch the movie now.

Hazem Daher hazemdaher — I'm not sure whether to classify this as a mystery/thriller, action/adventure, sci-fi horror, historical fiction, or "pulp," which is what the author calls it. It features a cast of "real" characters -- people who actually existed -- the "pulp" writers of Dperession-era America (including a pre-scifi, pre-Dianetics L. Ron Hubbard) who band together to solve the mystery of their fried H.P. Lovecraft's mysterious death. It'n not great -- certainly no Kavalier and Clay -- but it's engaging and entertaining, lie watchingn a pretty good B-movie, and I found the descriptions of the 1930s pulp fiction (about which I know zip) interesting.

Fredrik Woll fredrikwoll — I originally read this book in about 2003, and have continued to read it at least once every couple of years. Something in the story just resonates with me. Amazing book.

William Chen williamtwcbb9d — Magic realism + social commentary, well mixed, really unforgettable. A kick in the gut.

This is is, the culmination that every fan of the Elemental Assassin series, Gin’s chance to revenge the murder of her family and finally destroy Mab Monroe. Jennifer Estep has created quite an unique world with this series. not to mention making an Assassin the leading lady and getting us all to care for her. The world building is fantastic and the characters quite compelling, entertaining and impossible not to love. Spider’s evenge is the book we have all been waiting for and after the events of Tangled Threads, we can all guess how this story is going to end. However, it is the journey that makes it all worthwhile and Jennifer brings out the big guns for this one. After all, killing the baddest bitch on the blog van’t be a picnic at the park, can it? I have only a couple complaints about Spider’s Revenge. One is my usual one, the repetitive discourse throughout the novel. That utterly annoys me and can be quite frustrating. The other was that, since we knew that the Mab story Arc was coming to an end in this book, the surprise factor as to how it all ended was almost null. On the bright side, Team Owen fans will definitely be happy with book, as will Finn’s fans, I guarantee! Also, I quite liked how Spider’s Revenge ended, since the next novels will have a different Arc, the ending made me curious to see what’s to come. All in all, Spider’s wasn’t my favorite in the series, but it was a nice end to the first Arc in this series. I for one am hoping for many more Arcs to come. If you are a fan of the series, I totally recommend Spider’s Revenge. If you have yet to check out the series, give it a shot =)

Perpetualarts Perpetualarts _erpetualarts — "To Kill a Mockingbird" had a joyful and sorrow ending. Jem and Scout, who were siblings, were living happily. But when their father, Atticus who was a lawyer, was appointed to defend a back person, their nightmare started. Many problems occurred around these three main characters. The author, Harper Lee had told us clearly about racism and friendship through this exicting and touching story. When I was reading this book, I could feel the events happening right in front of me. This book is one of my favourite classics. I had read this book twice and I still want to read it again. I would like to recommend this book to everyone. I believe that the readers will love this book!
